The map portal ‘Gyeonggi Nuri Map’ (map.gg.go.kr) provided by Gyeonggi Province was opened on December 28th following significant improvements to its contents.

The new Nuri Map features new additions to the existing 6 theme-road series and bicycle roads. The portal also provides a new public facility locater service and an aerial map comparison service by year.

To the 6 existing theme-road series – such as roads for walking and experiencing travel– 50 new roads were added including the eco-friendly green belt Nuri road within the Limited Development District, Namyangju Dasan-gil where water and history meet, and Hanam Wirye-gil with the dynamic history of Baekje Dynasty.

Also, twenty-five new bicycle paths featuring different characteristics and levels of difficulty have been built, including the Namhangang riverside bicycle road, where users can enjoy biking along a discontinued railway line, the roadside of National Expressway 1, and the East-West crosscut road.

Everyday living contents have also been added to the web page, including a guide to safe mineral springs that have passed water quality tests, information on public sports facilities and user information, and information on the locations of automated civil document dispensers.

Portal visitors can also use the service to compare aerial maps of Gyeonggi Province by year. This service provides aerial maps of Gyeonggi Province from 2007 to 2010, enabling easy viewing of the province’s changing geography.

All the newly added contents can be accessed via the Internet and mobile devices. Smart phone users can search for ‘Gyeonggi Walk’ on corresponding markets to download the application.

A representative of the province said, “We hope the new Gyeonggi Nuri map service will improve the daily lives of provincial residents.”
