Taiwanese Company to Invest W1.2 Tln in Paju, Gyeonggi Prov. (KBS World)

The governments of Gyeonggi Province and Paju City have attracted a one-point-two-trillion-won investment from a Taiwanese semiconductor packaging and testing company.

The two local governments signed a memorandum of understanding Thursday morning with Advanced Semiconductor Engineering on building production lines in a 22-thousand square meter plant at an industrial complex in Gyoha in Paju, Gyeonggi Province.

Gyeonggi and Paju expect the deal to generate positive economic effects, such as boosting exports by an annual average of 700 billion won and creating one-thousand-800 jobs.
