May is the best month for travel lovers due to the pleasant weather and blooming flowers everywhere. Planning a short weekend trip? Then why not leave for the western coastal areas of Gyeonggi Province, just one or two hours away from Seoul.

Another Moses Miracle in Jebu Island
Jebu is a small island (0.98) about 2km west of Hwaseong City. There, you can see the waters between the island and the mainland part during the ebb tide, creating a 2.3-kilometer-long causeway twice a day. It’s the ideal place for a walk through the mudflats at low tide.

This 2.3km-long winding road, commonly referred to as “Moses Road,” starts from the ticket office on the mainland and runs to the island. You can take the Seohaean Expressway to get there, and will find the ticket office after passing Bibong IC and following the national road. You can pass this way with a car.

Sunset over Gungpyeong Harbor
Gungpyeong-ri, located in Seosin-myeon of Hwaseong City, is regarded as one of the Eight Scenic Views of Hwaseong. The area has some attractive scenery, including a coastal pine forest running alongside a 2km-long white sandy beach.

At sunset, the fishing boats returning home from a day’s work at sea create a picturesque scene along with the reddening horizon at sunset.

Besides the beautiful natural environment, visitors can enjoy fresh sliced raw fish here. The 10-long bank of Hwaseong Lake to the south of Gungpyeong Harbor is a favorite route for many drivers. 1316653323.jpg Images Sunset over Gungpyeong Harbor Hwaseong City

Dinosaur Egg Fossil Site – A Great Site for an On-the-spot Experience for Children
Are you holidaying with children? Then the dinosaur egg fossil site in Songsan-myeon, Hwaseong City, is a must-see. Your children will have an opportunity to learn about dinosaur egg fossils at this site, which was designated as Natural Monument No. 414 in 2000.

This fossil site is thought to have been a group habitat of dinosaurs some 100 million years ago during the Cretaceous Period. A huge amount of diverse dinosaur fossils and fossil plants were excavated from this area, making it a great venue for prehistory education.

BerAdel Equestrian Club– A Romantic Destination for Lovers
Horse riding is becoming a favorite sport among an increasing number of people, particularly dieters and whole-body workout lovers. Are you one of them? Then why don’t you try horse riding at this luxurious club in Gyeonggi Province.

BerAdel Equestrian Club, a leading equestrian club located in Daebunam-dong, Daebu Island, is equipped with a massive domed building, a horse riding exercise field, and pensions. It is also a perfect destination for dating, offering visitors exotic scenery.
