Rice snacks bearing Gyeonggi Province’s G-Mark will be served on Asiana Airlines’ inflight meal services, introducing a new side of Korean food to international travelers.

Gyeonggi Province has announced that Miduem Farming and the Agriculture Association’s G-Mark-approved rice bar and chips will be served on Asiana’s long-haul flights from September 1st.

The rice chips are made with baked organic rice flavored with purple sweet potatoes and pumpkin, and the rice bars are made with roast brown rice and nuts. High in nutrition, these bars are a perfect replacement for a meal.

The local government is excited at the prospect of promoting a G-Mark product to international travelers as it makes its way into aviation catering through Asiana Airlines.

Gyeonggi Province and Asiana Airlines signed an agreement to collaborate on an agricultural produce shopping mall this April. Links to the Gyeonggi Cyber Market were added to the Asiana Club website to improve sales for the online market. The inflight service agreement is a follow-up item to the contract.

Asiana Airlines will offer a special event to Asiana Club Members this Korean Thanksgiving, presenting only the best of Gyeonggi Province’s produce. Gyeonggi Province will also take part in the event by sending a Hangawi Mideum Set to members who purchase from the newly linked website.
