Now that the scorching heat and hurricanes have past, clear skies and a cool breezes herald the perfect season for a trip to the suburbs. How about visiting the Gyeonggi Museum of Modern Art where you can enjoy a healthy mix of indoor and outdoor entertainment?

The Gyeonggi Museum of Modern Art is showcasing two special exhibitions: Voyage to Silence: Swaying Waves, and Different and Special. You can lose yourself in sound of waves at the first exhibition, or experience a story about disabled artists at the second exhibition. Voyage to Silence: Swaying Waves is open until the 16th, while Different and Special is open until October 7.◇ A work from Different and Special, a window into the artist’s mysterious world. ⓒ Lee Song-hyeon.
Browsing both exhibitions in one day may be challenging for some. If so, visit the Different and Special exhibition first. The artists suffer from developmental disabilities. This exhibition was put together in part to change the public perception of disabled people. It will be a meaningful and heartwarming tour for you and your children. The Gyeonggi Museum of Modern Art is open to anyone who wants to add some culture to their life. The entrance fee is reasonable at KRW 4,000 for adults and KRW 2,000 for children and soldiers. Those under 6 years of age may enter free of charge. Gyeonggi Province residents are eligible for a 50% discount.
