The Korea Ceramics Foundation (Representative Song Yong-gun) opened the ” Functional Ceramics by One Hundred Korean Ceramic Artists: Relay Invitational Exhibition” on September 21 at the Bandal Art Museum in Yeoju.

At the exhibition, which is hosted by Gyeonggi Province and supervised by the Korea Ceramics Foundation, one hundred artisans specializing in livingware ceramics are displaying their pieces in a relay at the Bandal Art Museum. This is their second of a total of four scheduled exhibitions.

The purpose of this exhibition is to help the public rediscover livingware ceramics. Easily overlooked daily ceramic items and unknown artists will come under the spotlight to raise public interest in livingware ceramics.

The second exhibition features 150 lighting, living objects, and other ceramic pieces by artisans Kim Sun-sik, Kim Jeong-ok, Kim Jong-in, An Seong-man, Lee Gyeong-han and Choi Chang-seok. This exhibition is expected to be as popular as the first one. Note that the artwork on display is also available for purchase.

The exhibition opened at 16:00 on September 21 and will run until November 11. Admission is free.
