According to Yonhap News,

Gyeonggi Governor Kim Mun-su and Gimpo Mayor Yu Yeong-rok inked a $25 million-investment agreement Monday with Kevin Speed, a representative of Asia Division of Canadian Aviation Electronics (CAE).
Under the agreement, CAE will build a 1,400 square meter-flight simulator training center in Gimpo Aviation Industrial Complex within this year.
Pilots are required to take 5-day courses every year at a flight simulator training center.
However, there aren’t flight simulator training centers for domestic pilots working at low-cost carriers, which led to many pilots of JEJU AIR, EASTER JET and T’way Air going abroad to take mandatory courses.
The partnership with CAE will address the shortage of flight simulator training center and facilitate Gimpo Aviation Industrial Complex, Gyeonggi expects.
CAE is a Quebec-based global leader in providing simulation and modeling technologies and integrated training solution for the civil aviation industry and defense forces.
