According to Yonhap News,

Gyeonggi Province officials visited a nursing home for senior citizens on Wednesday to do volunteer work with members of foreign-invested companies in foreign investment zones (FIZs) in Pyeongtaek including TELSTAR-HOMMEL, FUSSO KOREA and DOLE Korea and local residents.
Out of the total eight FIZs in Gyeonggi, five are located in Pyeongtaek City. More and more foreign-invested foreign companies are seeking to be engaged in social contribution as members of the local community.
“Today’s volunteer work will be a val
uable opportunity to expand exchanges between foreign-invested companies and the local community.
We will facilitate our participation in the development of the regional community,” said a member of FUSSO KOREA.A Gyeonggi official also added, “We wish today’s work would support foreign-invested companies’ localization and social engagement with the establishment of close relationship with local residents.”
Last July, Gyeonggi helped three villages sign cooperation agreements with three Hwaseong-based foreign companies, respectively, to encourage foreign companies’ social contribution activities. The province will continue to introduce various social contribution programs.
