Foreign ambassadors stationed in South Korea will dress up in their respective traditional clothes for the opening event of the 10th Gyeonggi International Travel Mart in Ilsan, just north of Seoul, on Thursday, government officials said Wednesday.
Ambassadors together with their spouses from 43 countries, including Malaysia, India, Russia and Italy, will appear before an audience at the Global Costume Festival in the Korea International Exhibition Center (KINTEX) wearing national costumes as well as hanbok, the Korean traditional dress, according to officials from the Gyeonggi provincial government and the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization.
