According to Yonhap News,
Gwangju City in Gyeonggi Province unveiled its plan last Thursday to build a 54,808 square meter-industrial complex in Opo-eup.
The industrial complex project will be conducted by a consortium consisting of six companies including JS, HAN YOUNG, Jangsu Stoned Bed and URIEL Electronics.
Among the six, three are doing operation in Gwangju and the rest three will be relocated to the city.
The industrial complex project is under construction at each district level and then will undergo the review process at the Urban Planning Committee in the first half of the next year.
“After the review, the construction of the complex is expected to begin in 2016 or 2017,” said a Gwangju official. “If completed, the complex can resolve the issue of sprawling development and create jobs, which will in turn contribute to the regional economy.”
