Gyeonggi Province and the Small and Medium Business Center will host skull sessions on exports, as well as holding exhibitions, in order to discover emerging markets and make forays overseas in 2013.
Gyeonggi Province and Gyeonggi Small and Medium Business Center will continue to support the province’s small businesses which lack the capital and human resources required to enter the international market in 2013, the “Year of the Snake.”
The two institutes hosted a skull session last year that initiated trade deals worth nearly USD one billion. They plan to host a further nine such sessions this year, inviting 680 overseas buyers and 2,220 local companies.
The Overseas Trade Promotion Group has always worked hard to open up new and verified trade routes to quality manufacturers in the region. The Group plans to host seven export skull sessions in China, East Europe, and Africa this year with 70 other companies.
The Gyeonggi Business Center (GBC), whose role is to connect new buyers and set up new contracts, will market over 140 small and medium businesses from the province in China, USA, Brazil, and Malaysia among other countries to support their international networking efforts.
The 2012 G-Fair in Mumbai led to 2,167 consulting sessions worth a total of USD 150 million last year. The fair is being scheduled in Mumbai, Vietnam, and another undisclosed location this year. Gyeonggi Province will see to it that more than 200 companies attend this year.
A government official said, “We will continue to find new routes for electronics goods, provide follow-up for export companies, connect more export companies with overseas buyers to promote cooperation, host buyer consulting sessions, and stage overseas exhibitions to help small and medium businesses thrive.”
