Gyeonggi Province opens the executive office of Gyeonggi International Boat Show at KINTEX on March 13.

Gyeonggi Province opened the executive office of Gyeonggi International Boat Show at KINTEX of Goyang City on March 13 to prepare for the convention in earnest.

‘The 6th Gyeonggi International Boat Show’ will be held for 4 days from May 30 to June 2 at KINTEX of Goyang City. To the executive office moves in 2 teams of 10 members for management & event team and exhibition & PR team to prepare for the convention.

Gyeonggi province decided to divide Gyeonggi International Boat Show, which was held at Jeongok Port of Hwaseong City every year from 2008, into Goyang City and Hwaseong City from this year. The convention in Goyang City will be held as business-centered industrial exhibition by drastically expanding the exhibition scale and the participant companies while that at Jeongok Port of Hwaseong City as maritime leisure festival and International Yacht Race in the same period.

For this, the province decided to extend the exhibition area to 28,500㎡ from 11,600㎡ of last year. It also raised its sights this year to 300 participant companies and 1000 booths in use from 190 companies and 620 booths used last year.

Gyeonggi International Boat Show of this year will exhibit a variety of yachts and boats including sailboats, powerboats, rubber boat, canoes and kayaks, and engine-related parts and various accessories for the yachts and boats.

In addition, it will diversify the exhibition to a comprehensive outdoor leisure exhibition which also includes ocean industries such as scuba diving, camping, fishing, and biking and also run the specialized conference and educational programs. For visitors, it is also preparing for diverse experience programs including kayak and canoe experience zone, rowing experience zone, Air Swimmer rowing experience zone, and submerged scooter experience zone.

Meanwhile, Gyeonggi Province Vice-governor of Economy Department Lee Jae-yul participated in the opening ceremony of the executive office this day, promising the successful hosting of this year’s Boat Show and encouraging the employees.◇ The opening ceremony of the executive office of the 6th Gyeonggi International Boat Show is held at KINTEX of Goyang City on March 13. ⓒ G-News
