Gyeonggi Urban Innovation Corporation, starts excavation experience within Pyeongtaek Godeok Industrial Complex 

– Provided an opportunity of ‘Living History Experience’ to 40 students of Pyeongtaek Jangdang Elementary School

□ Gyeonggi Urban Innovation Corporation, who is execting the construction vusiness of Pyeongtaek Godeok`s Samsung Electronics Industrial Complex spent a very special cultural experience time with elementary students.

○Gyeonggi Urban Innovation Corporation conducted a ‘Cultural Heritage Excavation Experience’ event with 40 students of 4 th Graders of Jangdang Elementary School in Pyeongtaek City on the 24th

○This event, hosted by the Corporation and organized jointly by Gyeonggi Cultural Heritage Research Center Giho Cultural Heritage Research Center Central Institute of Cultural Heritage was held for the elementary students within Pyeongtaek Godeok Industrial complex to assist understanding of history and culture of Pyeongtaek region, and was part of social contribution activities which has been prepared to provide an opportunity to experience the value and the importance of cultural heritage

□ The event on this day, which started with Pyeongtaek`s historical cultural education on ‘What is cultural heritage’ was followed by a field trip on the excavation site of cultural heritage, quiz on getting to know the history of our town, mock excavation experience and so on

○ The director of Corporation`s City Development headquarters said. “I hope that children would be able to take interest in our history and cultural assets as they directly experience the excavation of our cultural heritages” and that “We will prepare various opportunities so that we would be able to commune with the regional citizens”
