Gyeonggi Province will attract investments in the hub center of the global company “E,” which creates 3D fusion technology for the next generation IT industry to lead Korea’s creative economy.

Gyeonggi Province said its investment attraction task force would be dispatched to the U.K. and Singapore to attract E’s investment and to discuss how to cooperate with the global 3D fusion technology hub center.

E is leading new businesses by developing over 200,000 3D fusion contents and other total solutions that are required for education, industry, and theme parks and is building hub centers in various countries.

The 3D fusion content industry is the core industry in the creative economy. It employs fast transmissions over the optical network, advanced IT and HD displays to digitalize objects, and then applies them to various industrial simulations, education resources, and entertainment. It is expected that the volume of the 3D fusion technology market will reach USD 227 billion in 2017.

Recently, poisonous hydrofluoric acid leaked at Samsung’s plant as has threatened the health of local residents. If 3D fusion content is used, people can learn how to act in such emergency situations.

Since E transfers its self-developed 200,000 3D fusion content free of charge, if its hub center is built in Gyeonggi Province, Gyeonggi Province can grow into becoming Korea’s content hub center.

Recently, upon visiting Korea, the CEO of E said, “Korea is the best positioned to become our hub in Asia thanks to its top quality IT infrastructure and highly-qualified IT specialists.
