The Gyeonggi Association of Foreign-invested Companies (GAFIC) will have a little annual concert on August 30 at the Jangan-myeon Office to build friendly relations between local residents and foreign-invested businesses housed in the Jangan Foreign Industrial Complex in Hwaseong.
The event is expected to be attended by 300-plus people, including local residents and employees of 3M Korea. In addition to the concert, a ceremony will be held to foster sisterhood ties between 3M Korea and Jangan Girls’ Middle School.
“Such event will help local residents act as good neighbors to foreign-invested businesses in their areas. It will be nice if businesses cooperate with the residents for local development,” GAFIC Chairman Lee Byung-rak said.
The Gyeonggi Provincial Office strives to help foreign-invested businesses settle down successfully in local areas through such event. It encourages businesses to maintain sisterhood ties with local villages, carry out voluntary service activities at social welfare institutions, and hold events intended to establish friendly relations with local residents.
“We are doing what we can to find ways to encourage friendly relations between businesses and local residents and increase jobs for local residents,” a Gyeonggi Province official said.
