On September 28, the Gyeonggi Provincial delegation headed by Governor Kim Moon-soo secured the development of cooperative businesses between KNR System and Nano Facture and signed an LOI for expansion of the existing factory in Yongin, Korea.

The two businesses signed an agreement for a joint investment on DNA restoration system development and product commercialization during the delegation’s visit to Seattle last April. A Nano Facture official said that inquiries were rushing in from public institutions and DNA bio-related businesses the world over in response to the governors of Gyeonggi Province and Washington State taking part in the signing ceremony. President Kim Myeong-han of KNR said, “A negotiation is under way with the United States Army Criminal Investigation Command (USACIDC) for development of a sample mass production. A clinical experiment contract is also being promoted with the Mayo Clinic, which is a not-for-profit medical practice and medical research group based in Rochester, Minnesota. We are discussing the possibility of making product contracts with the world’s leading businesses, including Johnson & Johnson, and thus, we’ve decided to move up the schedule for factory expansion to supply goods on time.”

Commenting on the matter, Governor Kim Moon-soo said, “When I met KNR System and Nano Facture for the first time in Seattle last April, I thought that they were small but had strong capabilities and so, I knew would do well in business together. It is good to see the expansion of the factory in my province. I hope that they will help create more jobs and continue to expand worldwide based on solid technological prowess. We will provide all possible administrative support lest they meet any difficulty in expanding the factory.”
