The Visiting Integrated Domin Anbang and the Governor’s On-site Public Service Center operated by Gyeonggi Province won the Time-leading Leader Award in the public administrative services sector at the 2013 Customer Happiness Brand Award, hosted by Fortune Korea and sponsored by the Hankook Ilbo, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, and the Ministry of Environment.
The 2013 Customer Happiness Brand Award was first established this year to find brands that have given impression and useful value to customers by providing products and services that meet the demands that had been unaware by customers.
The award was divided into multiple sectors such as finance, manufacturing, household items and public administrative services, selecting 26 brands as winners including leading conglomerates in Korea. Gyeonggi Province was the only metropolitan council selected. For primary local government, the eco-cultural tourist city of Uljin, Gyeongbuk was the only one selected.
The Visiting Integrated Domin Anbang and the Governor’s On-site Public Service Center integrated all public service tasks related to the life of residents into one, operating the Governor’s On-site Public Service Center and job bus in parallel. They provided advice for 12,052 cases in seven sessions thus far, with over 100 participants as well as 20 relative institutions. Gyeonggi Governor Kim Moon-soo himself provided advice for 85 cases.
“We received this award thanks to the residents who visited Domin Anbang and showed great interest and support,” said Han Tae-seok, chief of the Local Autonomy Administration Division. “We will visit our residents wherever they are, and serve them as best as we can.”
Starting December, Gyeonggi will promote Domin Anbang visiting to the neglected areas such as islands and isolated areas, farming and fishing villages, and rental apartment complexes.
