Gyeonggi Province andGyeonggi Small and Medium Business Center (GSBC) hosted 2013 Big, Small and Medium Businesses Win-win Partnership Procurement Conference at the Exhibition Hall 2 of Goyang KINTEX on November 26, where they carried out 413 consultations and achieved results worth KRW 94 billion.

This conference was prepared to help SMEs facing difficulties in marketing despite their excellent products, so that they can meet with large manufacturers and distributors to open new markets and form technological cooperation.

Other than providing one-on-one business consultations, the conference was well received by SMEs intending to enter large distribution networks thanks to the purchasing agent from Lotte Mart who conducted a briefing session on policies and strategies of launching the business.

Filter dryer system manufacturer H from Hwaseong achieved results worth KRW 300 million from consultations, acknowledged by many conglomerates for its excellent products and price competitiveness.

Kitchen appliance manufacturer B from Namyangju achieved results worth KRW 100 million to supply paper and plastic spoon/chopstick rests for large retailer D.

“We could broaden our scope through this conference as we could encounter a variety of innovative products as well as excellent technologies,” said Tak Soo-yeon, purchasing agent from Lotte Mart who attended the conference. “We decided to have a meeting with a stationery company with whom we consulted today for details of purchase.”

“Our company was acknowledged for the technological skills of our products in this conference, and we will me having meetings in the near future for specific details of contract,” said Kim Sun-geun, CEO of LED lighting manufacturer Solowin. “We are satisfied with our accomplishments with potential opportunities to enter a broader sales network, thanks to consultations with not only conglomerates but also various other companies like large retailers, online companies and social commerce companies.”
