Gyeonggi Urban Innovation Corporation hosts sharing festival for Christmas

▪ Warm winter duvets delivered to 150 households in Baekseok Town, Yangju and 50 households in Sanbuk-dong

▪ Musical gala show performance held for children at Aehyang Children’s Welfare Center

□ The Gyeonggi Urban Innovation Corporation (CEO Seung Dae Choi) announced on the 23^rd that it has delivered winter duvets to 200 low-income households in the Baekseok town and Sanbuk-dong area of Yangju city.

◯ This corporate social responsibility activity was part of the “Love on Wheels for a Warm Winter” conducted by the Regional Economy HQ of the Gyeonggi Urban Innnovation Corporation since 2011. Forty employees and executives visited 200 households, including 150 in Baekseok town and 50 in Sanbuk-dong, delivering the duvets.

□ Seok Cheol Shin, the Regional Economy HQ Director of the Gyeonggi Urban Innovation Corporation said “I hope that these warm duvets will help the families stay warm and cheerful through the Christmas holidays  and a New Year’s full of hope this winter, despite the weather colder than last.

□ Meanwhile, the Gyeonggi Urban Innnovation Corporation hosted a concert at the Aehyang Children’s Welfare Center in Pyeongtaek for 80 children and young adults living at the center, also delivering Christmas gifts.

◯ In the day’s festivities, more than 70 children and young adults enthusiastically participated in learning the songs and dances to 5 popular musicals with professional musical actors, including ‘Those Magic Changes’ from the musical Grease.

◯ 20 employees from the Godeok Branch and Compensation Division, regularly volunteering at the Aehyang Children’s Welfare Center, participated together in the day’s events, delivering Christmas presents to the children and providing 10 sets of tables and chairs (worth 5 million Won) needed by the Aehyang Children’s Welfare Center.
