The Gyeonggi Tourism Organization and the Korea Tourism Organization are co-hosting the KOREA MICE EXPO at KINTEX in Goyang City on June 19 and 20.
As the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization and the Korea Tourism Organization signed an MOU on January 28 to co-host the event, the KOREA MICE EXPO will be held this year and next year (two days a year) at KINTEX in Goyang City of Gyeonggi Province. It will be sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as Korea’s representative MICE industry exhibition.
This year, over 200 MICE-related companies and 350 buyers from home and abroad are invited to the KOREA MICE EXPO, where there will be MICE exhibitions, business conferences with invited powerful global buyers, and briefing sessions for Korean as well as global buyers.
Moreover, there will be a variety of events such as the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) Data Workshop, the Korea MICE Alliance Workshop, an international MICE contest, and a familiarization tour for global MICE luminaries.
By holding the KOREA MICE EXPO, Gyeonggi Province expects to directly host province’s MICE-related events while also contributing to the development of the MICE industry in the province through such initiatives as building a network of Korean and global buyers.
“We are planning to foster the KOREA MICE EXPO into a specialized global MICE EXPO integrated with the province’s special features through the convergence of the Korean Wave and MICE,” said an official at the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization.
