Gyeonggi Province helps to open up a new foreign market

Export-related farm household, Gyeonggi Province officials and oil organizations joined together. And after the reviewing of export policies by items, they decided to help exporters planning to enter into a new market.
Officials of the Gyeonggi Province are planning to reflect the errors and recommendations pointed out by farm households in the upcoming Province’s 2nd Conference scheduled for June 24th to July 22nd. The session will be open once a week in order to mutually exchange opinions of each export item.
First of all, the Province will collect opinions of farm households and organizations on the session scheduled for June 24th 14:00~16:00 called ‘Specialization’, ‘Simbidium’ (July 1st), ‘Butterfly’ (July 8th), ‘Cactus’ (July 15th) ‘Lily’ (July 22nd) and so on.
The main subjects to be discussed, would be the introduction of export-support business by organizations, understanding errors detected and plans to improve the agricultural products’ export field, finding drift-net products and companies, developing ideas to improve the increase of exports, etc.
Meanwhile the participants will be the provincial office, Center of the agricultural technology, Ministry of agricultural product’s distribution Gyeonggi branch, Nong-hyup Gyeonggi Head Office, production and export related households, export and trade corporations, Association of production by items, etc.
An official said that from this workshop they’re putting the need of finding new foreign markets into effect, because of the change in WTO systems and the strong competitions from globlizing agricultural industry.
From this workshop, the Gyeonggi Province is expecting to educate and advertise agricultural export-related organizations, establish a direction of the future agricultural export proposed by households and organizations and develop export systems.
Then it will be applied to the real field.
Finally, the Gyeonggi Province is planning to reflect in it’s export policy errors and recommendations made by the Province’s officials and other organizations.
