Gyeonggi Province and the Namhansanseong World Heritage Center welcome the summer holidays with their Overnight Namhansanseong Fortress World Heritage Camp which people can enjoy at Namhansanseong Fortress along with their family members.
Celebrating the first anniversary of Namhansanseong’s designation as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the camp has been designed so that people can experience the wide range of values Namhansanseong Fortress has to offer through various programs.
At the camp, participants can take part in such activities as a visit to the walls of Namhansanseong Fortress, a hands-on theatrical performance, martial arts, nightscape viewing, and stargazing. In particular, people will be able to experience a royal procession of former kings in addition to military drills during the hands-on theatrical play and martial arts experiences.
Also, families can create unforgettable memories while participating in recreational activities, having dinner together, and roasting sweet potatoes and potatoes.
Camps will be available on three occasions – August 8 to 9, 15 to 16, and 22 to 23 – and will cost KRW 50,000 per family. Applications will be accepted by order of submission at Namhansanseong World Heritage Centre’s website (www.nhss.ggcf.kr). Inquiries: Namhansanseong World Heritage Centre 031-777-7526
