Gyeonggi Province accepts applications until February 29, offers 50%
support for booth rental costs

◇ Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi
Small & Medium Business Support Center are recruiting small and medium
businesses in Gyeonggi Province to join the Gyeonggi Province Exhibition Booth at
the 2016 Int’l Middle East Furniture & Interior Design Exhibition (INDEX), which
is the largest exhibition for furniture and interior products in the Middle

Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Small & Medium
Business Support Center (GSBC) are recruiting small and medium businesses in
Gyeonggi Province to join the Gyeonggi Province Exhibition Booth at the 2016 Int’l
Middle East Furniture & Interior Design Exhibition (INDEX).  

INDEX, the largest furniture and interior
exhibition in the Middle East, features household/office furniture, flooring
materials, kitchen fixtures, and bathroom products. More than 750 businesses
from around the world participated in last year’s event.  

Celebrating its 25th occasion, INDEX
will run from May 23 to 26 at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre in the United
Arab Emirates. Twenty-one Korean companies will participate in the event. 

Gyeonggi Province and GSBC will operate a Gyeonggi
Province booth at INDEX with the participation of 12 businesses from Gyeonggi
Province. Small and medium businesses with head offices or production
facilities in Gyeonggi Province that earned USD 15 million or less in exports
last year are eligible to participate.  

Gyeonggi Province will support up to 50% of booth
rental costs, basic installation costs, one-way transportation costs, and more
for participating businesses. Companies seeking to participate can apply until
February 29 at the EGBIZ website (www.egbiz.or.kr),
the information portal for small and medium businesses in Gyeonggi Province.  

Gyeonggi Province Specialized Industries Division Director
Kim Gi-se said, “As the largest exhibition in
the Middle East, INDEX will be a chance for small and medium businesses in
Gyeonggi Province to promote their products and identify export opportunities.” Kim added, “We hope many outstanding furniture businesses in
Gyeonggi Province with international capabilities will participate in the
exhibition.”
