The ‘Gyeonggi Pet Culture Class’, a useful way to learn about
raising pets, will be broadcasted for one hour live (online) from 8:00pm on
December 20.
Hosted
by the Gyeonggi Provincial Government and overseen by the Gyeonggi Veterinary
Medical Association, this program will use an online platform that allows for
two-way communication to share a wide range of knowledge in an easy and
entertaining manner for raising pets.
The
program will be a live talk show featuring an expert in veterinary clinical
education as the host. Participants will discuss issues such as dietary
management and other healthcare tips for winter.
Of
particular note, rather than a one-way lecture format, this program has chosen
an online platform through which viewers can participate; it can therefore be
both informative and entertaining at the same time. Participants can ask
questions through a connected chat room during the program and share useful
information on a real-time basis.
Gyeonggi
Province Animal Quarantine Division Director Kim Seong-sik said, “This program will offer a chance to help people respect the
lives of animals and accelerate the creation of an appropriate pet culture.” Kim added, “We hope all
those who love pets will tune into the program.”
For
those interested in participating in the program, applications can be made
online via the iHAEDU website
(ihaedu.com/) from November 24 to December 19. Applications will be accepted not
only from pet owners but also from people considering pet adoption and those who
are simply interested in pets. The program is free, but the number of participants
is limited to 3,000 people on a first-come, first-served basis.
The
program will air on the iHAEDU website
(PC version) and mobile application between 8:00pm and 9:00pm on December 20. It
will also feature a raffle for prizes to be given to participants.
Gyeonggi
Province has promoted the ‘Gyeonggi
Pet Culture Class’ since 2015 to help create a healthy
pet culture; however, this will be the first time that the program has been
offered via an online platform.
