The Korea Ceramic Foundation began advance ticket reservations for the 2019 Korean International Ceramic Biennale on July 29.

Tickets for the event are divided into premium passes for all three event venues – including Icheon Ceramic Utopia (Cerapia), Yeoju Dojasesang, and Gonjiam Ceramic Park – and regular tickets for single event venues. A premium pass costs KRW 10,000 while a regular ticket is priced at KRW 5,000. Those who purchase their tickets in advance can receive a discount of up to 25 percent.

Of particular note, each ticket includes a voucher that provides more benefits to the purchaser in terms of costs this year compared to previous biennales. A premium pass and a regular ticket include a KRW 5,000 voucher and a KRW 2,000 voucher, respectively, which can be redeemed at event venues when purchasing food, beverages, and goods at various experiential programs, markets, food and drink stores, and elsewhere. The vouchers are expected to enable visitors to fully enjoy the biennale at reduced costs.

The tickets can be purchased in advance via the Korea Ceramic Foundation website (www.kocef.org) as well as from social commerce and leisure activity platforms including Coupang, Wemakeprice, Timon, Yanolja, Yeogieottae, HanaTour Tickets, and more from August 1.

The advance reservation period ends on September 26, after which all tickets can be purchased at non-discounted prices.

“The benefits provided to advance ticket purchasers will enable them to fully enjoy more contents at the event venues, enriching their own lives as well as those of the ceramicists and local residents participating in the event. I hope that many visitors will receive increased benefits through advance ticket reservations,” said Korea Ceramic Foundation President Seo Jeong-gurl.

Meanwhile, groups of 20 people or more can purchase premium passes at KRW 8,000 each and regular tickets at KRW 4,000 each during the advance reservation period through the Korea Ceramic Foundation’s website.
