Children’s Day Festival in May at Paju English Village

To celebrate Children’s Day on May 5, the Paju English Village will hold the Children’s Day Festival.
Running from May 5 to 7, the festival will include many booths with interactive programs and performances for all family members.
A total of seven interactive program booths will be featured, including: ‘Snack Zone’ for making pudding and cupcakes; ‘Tattoo Zone’ for getting animals painted on faces or hands; ‘Craft Zone’ for making picture frames to keep memories of the festival; ‘Art Zone’ for making personalized pins, buttons, and badges; ‘Game Zone’ for enjoying a variety of games including mini golf and mini skee-ball; ‘Scavenger Hunt Zone’ for finding answers to quizzes around the event halls; and ‘Role Play Zone’ for English role-playing experiences at special places such as a police station and a post office.
A variety of performances will also be staged, including: the musical Alice in Wonderland performed by native-English speaking actors; K-Pop and pop song performances; and a character parade.
Moreover, there will be event programs organized in cooperation with the local community, including: a balloon art workshop supported by the Korea NGO Rainbow; a taekwondo demonstration performance and tile breaking by Paju Taekwondo clubs; and a professional psychology counseling service provided by career advisers.
During the festival, men of national merit and the disabled can receive 50% off of admission, and admission is free for infants less than 36 months of age and adults aged 65 and older.
In particular, children aged 12 and under will be admitted for free on Children’s Day (May 5, 2017).
