ⓒ Gyeonggi G News
Gyeonggi Province offers cooking technique courses and on-site consulting services on restaurant management to support housewives of multicultural families and those who wish to open or work in restaurants.
The cooking technique courses will be offered from February to December, and the following five courses are available: children’s cooking and eating habit coach certification course for employment; restaurant business start-up; catering business start-up; group meal cooking certification course for employment; and multicultural Korean side-dish specialist courses.
The number of participants is fixed at 24 for each course, which will run twice. Accordingly, a total of 240 students will be able to attend the courses.
Of particular note, from this year, Gyeonggi Province plans to provide consulting services – including menu development, group meal business and more – to restaurants and cafes that are operated by those who previously completed the courses..
On-site consulting services for restaurant management will be provided from April to November for 30 small restaurants.
The consulting services will consist of new menu development support with analysis of the environment and capacity of restaurants, and on-site guidance for the enhancement of cooking techniques, customer management service, and food material management according to the needs of each restaurant.
The cooking technique courses and on-site consulting services will be implemented by the Gyeonggi Province Branch of the Korea Chefs Association with support from the province’s food promotion fund.
