Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization have started a shuttle bus service connecting Seoul and major tourist spots in the province to promote the tourism industry.
Since April, Gyeonggi Province has operated shuttle buses on a trial basis to and from Insa-dong in Seoul and the venue of the Gyeonggi International Ceramic Biennale 2017 and other destinations, and now it plans to extend the service with routes to major tourist destinations in the region.
The official name of the shuttle bus is “EG-Shuttle” (Explore Gyeonggi-do Enjoy G-Shuttle), which refers to “exciting exploration of Gyeonggi Province.” As the shuttle bus is expected to provide easier access to the province, it also includes the meaning of “Easy Gyeonggi-Shuttle.”
