The Gyeonggi Provincial Government will launch the ‘Next-generation Video Creator Academy’ to foster one-person creators and shall recruit trainees for the first session until May 9.
The provincial government announced that the academy has been set up as part of its Next-generation Video Content Creator Fostering Project that is aimed to support the new start-up field of the emerging video content market.
It targets those who want to become one-person creators, video content creators who currently work in the field, members of multicultural households residing in the province, and foreign students.
The program is comprised of three levels: ‘one-person creator,’ ‘professional staff,’ and ‘global professional.’
Of particular note, the one-person creator training course covers planning, filming, and editing at a basic level for professional video and content-making techniques as well as marketing at the professional level, which proceeds from basic to advanced training courses to professional workshops.
The training courses will begin on May 16 and run for two months with a total of 16 sessions at Goyang, Bucheon, Seongnam, and Suwon.
The tuition is KRW 100,000, but 100% of the tuition will be refunded if one attends 70% or more of the courses. Teenagers and members of multicultural families will receive a 50% tuition discount.
Applications can be submitted via the website of the Next-generation Video Creator Academy.
