The Gyeonggi Provincial Government will hold the VR/AR (virtual reality/augmented reality) startup festival “NRP Demo Day” online and in a VR format on November 12 and 13.

On the morning of August 4, Gyeonggi Province released the first promo video for the event via the NRP Demo Day website (www.nrp-demoday.or.kr).

The NRP Demo Day is marking its fifth year. Business performance results of the 5th NRP companies will be announced and the Gyeonggi VR/AR conference “Global Developers Forum” (GDF2020) will be held at the same time. In addition, the NRP Demo Day includes speeches and panel discussions by well-known Korean and foreign figures. This event is expected to develop as an international VR/AR startup festival.

To prevent the spread of COVID-19, social VR platform channels as well as online channels such as YouTube will be utilized this year so that people can visit the festival and participants can communicate with each other remotely.

The slogan of the event is “eXtended conTact.” The event will present VR/AR technologies as communication and connection tools of a post-COVID-19 world beyond face-to-face communication.

The event consists of four sections: the 5th NRP Demo Day (business performance presentation of supported companies), Global Developers Forum (guest speeches and panel discussions), Social XR Meet Up (corporate exchanges) and XR File (important industrial news). Information about the programs will be announced via the official website (www.nrp-demoday.or.kr).
