The Gyeonggi Sharing Service (share.gg.go.kr), an integrated reservation system for public resources in Gyeonggi Province, recorded 19,892 reservations and about 1 million users last year.

Gyeonggi Province participated in the “2023 Public Resource Open Sharing Service Performance Report” event hosted by the Ministry of Public Administration and Security at the 15th Dong Auditorium of the Sejong Government Complex on February 1, announcing the operational results of the Gyeonggi Sharing Service and this year’s implementation direction.

The event was organized to award certificates and special grants to local governments that performed well in the 2023 Local Government Performance Evaluation for Opening and Sharing Public Resources, and also to share best practices with local governments nationwide.

Gyeonggi Province, the only metropolitan autonomy to be selected as first in the best practice field, received a ministerial award and a special grant of KRW 45 million.

The Gyeonggi Sharing Service is an integrated reservation system that allows users to search for and reserve often widely scattered public resources and shared services for Gyeonggi residents in one place. In addition to conference rooms and sports facilities, various and unique services such as lectures, experiential events, and merchandise rentals, as well as comprehensive information pages for public campsites and public wedding halls, unused public property, garden sales, and free legal consultations provided by 59 organizations — including provincial, city, and public agencies — have been registered. A total of 2,901 facilities, 5,013 classes, and 1,363 items have been made available through this service.

As a result of increased user satisfaction through the expansion of the number of locations and products available, and by improving the time it takes to book, the service has seen a year-over-year explosion in bookings since its launch in January 2021, with annual bookings growing from 172 in the first year to 34,346 in 2022 and 199,892 in 2023.

In 2024, Gyeonggi Province plans to utilize the Ministry of Public Administration and Security’s public MyData to simplify the reservation application process, which allows for real-time confirmation of one’s eligibility in upon consent, thereby introducing a “one-step” reservation system that allows rental time selection and bookings on one page while enhancing search functions to improve accessibility for Gyeonggi residents.

“We will continue to develop unique public resources and expand the range of services so that more people can conveniently use Gyeonggi Province’s excellent public resources and shared services,” said Kim Hae-ryeon, Director of the Asset Management Division of Gyeonggi Province.
