The two-week “Indian Social Entrepreneur Capacity Building Invitation Training” hosted by the Gyeonggi Social Economy Center from August 21 ended on September 3.
The Gyeonggi Social Economy Center hosted 13 Indian social entrepreneurs under the KOICA Global Invitation Training Program to explore the social economy scene in Korea, a leader in solving social problems, for relative applications in their own country.
Participants learned about Korean social economy and support systems by visiting relevant bodies, and identified best practices by visiting social economy organizations in Gyeonggi Province.
They also attended the 2024 Gyeonggi Social Economy Fair during their training period to interact with various social economy organizations.
Participant Smita Singhal said, “Over the past two weeks, I have had a meaningful time learning about the development and growth potential of Korea’s social economy… Based on this, I will continue my efforts to create a better world in India.”
Yoo Hoon, Director of the Gyeonggi Social Economy Center, said, “I hope that the participants will gain strategies and insights to succeed as social entrepreneurs through this training.”
