The Gyeonggi Do Provincial Institute for Lifelong Learning’s Change-Up Campus is recruiting participants for its Summer Vacation English Camp.
This English camp is being held under the theme “Guardians of the Planet” and is designed to help students improve their English language skills and cultivate global cultural awareness.
It will be held from July 24 to August 4 (1st camp) and August 7 to 18 (2nd camp). Participation is limited to adolescents from elementary school third graders to middle school third graders. The application deadlines are July 19 for the first camp and August 2 for the second camp.
Participants can learn about the various natural environments of the world in English and take part in four major classes including Media, Cooking, Science, and Drama & Music.
In addition, there will be various programs such as outdoor and group activities and watching English musicals.
In addition, to maximize educational effects, each class will consist of no more than 15 students selected through level tests.
Applications can be made online via the Change-Up Campus website (www.english-village.or.kr).
A participation fee of KRW 1.1 million for Gyeonggi residents and KRW 1.2 million for residents of other regions applies. Underprivileged children can participate for free in the camp by submitting the required documents to the Gyeonggi Province Education Policy Division and the provincial office of education.

The Change-Up Campus English Camp has been run since 2006 with over 10,000 elementary and middle school students having participated in it by 2015. For the safety of participants, camp guidance counselors are placed in each dormitory building.
