There are six thousand firefighters in Gyeonggi Province. The missions that often require them to risk their own lives arein a day’s work for the firefighters.

Last year, firefighters were dispatched a total of 16,000 times in Gyeonggi Province,more than 16,000 residents were safely rescuedemergency situations.
5) Average of 50 Individuals per Day RescuedGyeonggi Fire Department
Thisequivalent to 50 individuals being rescued every day,including the 930 individuals a day who used emergency transportation services to hospitals.

“Last year, we went to rescue four individuals who were injured in the explosion of a practice bomb trying to launch it at a junk yard. One of our emergency medics was injureda secondary explosion treating the victims.”
Over the past three years, six firefighters have lost their livesmore than 200 suffered injuries performing their duties.
Title 2. Winter Blight Spreads among Greenhouse Farms (0118-1)

Despite the cold weather, there are an increasing number of disease outbreaks among greenhouse farms in Gyeonggi Province. Greenhouse farms have called for more intensive monitoringmanagement of vegetable diseases.

Strawberry plants at this farm in Suwon (수원) City are covered with a white powdery mildeware withering fast. Farmers at the afflicted sites are in despair.

Mothers can use these facilities for any period of time they are open,are even provided with free educational programs.
