Many private companies are investing in the production of their own energy using renewable energy sources. The number of solar power generation facilities has been growing rapidly in Gyeonggi Province since solar powerhighly economicalreadily available.

According to data publishedthe provincial government, the number of approvals for private solar power generation projects increased ten-fold year on year to 270 cases. The total capacity of these projects amounts to 32,000 KW.

Title 4. Pyeongtaek Godeok New Town to Host Samsung’s Production Base (0912-2)

After five years of negotiations, Gyeonggi Province finally succeeded in inducing Samsung Electronics to the Godeok (고덕) Industrial Complex in Pyeongtaek (평택) City.

4) Daegu Takes Second Place
It was a very close competition between Gyeonggi ProvinceDaegu (대구) City up until the final moments. In the end, Daegu (대구) took second place,SeoulNorth Gyeongsang (경상) Province each took thirdfourth place, respectively.
