For smallmedium-sized businesses, credit ratings are often a major obstacle when they seek bank financing because loan interest rates depend on their credit ratings. But loansthe SmallMedium-sized Industries Promotion Fund of Gyeonggi Province, also known as G-Money, are provided at a substantially low, fixed interest rate regardless of credit rating. The Gyeonggi Provincial Government has finalized the scale of G-Money for 2012 at KRW 1 trillion.

The Gyeonggi Provincial Government finalized the amount of the SmallMedium-sized Industries Promotion Fund for this year at KRW 1 trillion. Loans will be granted at a fixed interest rate, more than three percent lower than that of banks, to eligible businesses regardless of their credit ratings.

From this year, companies with excellent employment records will be granted priority benefits such as an additional interest rate reduction. The Social Enterprises Support Fundalso set aside as part of the SmallMedium-sized Industries Promotion Fund. Up to KRW 100 million will be granted to each eligible business.

The provincial government willa detailed study of the current status of small companies, small business establishmentsmerchants in traditional markets. The main objective of the new support programs will be the promotion of the coexistence of small enterprises with larger companies.
2) Support Program Development to Begin in June Based on Study Results
The commissioned study group will present interim reports twice during the study phasethe final report in June. The provincial government will then finalize the support programs based on the results of the study.

Title 6. New Gingerol Extraction Method (0118-2)

Ginger teapopular among Koreans for its unique tastefragrance as well as its medicinal effects, but the active component of fresh ginger, gingerol, easily degrades in hot water. However, a new method of extracting gingerol was developedthe Gyeonggi HealthEnvironment Research Center.

Gingerknown to have antioxidant, anti-carcinogenicanti-inflammatory effects, but itdifficult to consume because of its characteristic strong tastepungent fragrance. Also, gingeroleasily degraded or destroyed when overheated.
1) New Gingerol Extraction Method
The Gyeonggi HealthEnvironment Research Center published a report on a new method of extracting gingerolginger.
2) WashingThin Slicing of Ginger
The key to the maximum extraction of gingerolto cut 500g of ginger into very thin slices after washing.
3) Heating at Mid-Temperature for 30 Minutes
The ginger slices are placed in 2 liters of waterthen simmered over medium heat for 30 minutes. The resulting brew will contain 324 mg of gingerol extract for every 100ml.
