1. New Jobs in Advance Technology Industries

According to the Korea Employment Information Service, which recently released a list of promising future occupations, many quality positions will be d in high-tech areas such as information communicationsbiotechnology. Many resident high-tech industries in the Gwanggyo (광교) Techno-Valley did in factrecruitment for new job positions.

Choi Jae-hak (최재학)searching for employment in the solar energy industry. He prepared himself for the job application process for some time, but was unable to find employment because there were very few vacancies. When the 2011 High-tech Industries Job Fair opened, he was one of the first to arrive.
Gyeonggi Provincethe Gyeonggi Employment Center held a job fair in collaboration with companies in advanced technology including information communicationsbiotechnology.
More than 30 high-tech industrial companies participated in this job fair,their human resources personnel conducted on-site interviews with job interviews.
Special lectures on employment were also given to provide job searchers with a variety of employment informationhelp them better prepare for the competitive world of employment.
The Gyeonggi Employment Center plans to organize a total of 16 customized job fairs for different job applicant groups including people with disabilitiestechnical high school graduates.
2. GTX Officially Became a National Project

The metropolitan express railway project, the Great Train Express, or GTX, was officially adoptedthe central government as a first-half project of the second National Railroad Network Plan. When the construction of GTXcompleted in 2018, downtown Seoul will be within 30 minutes travel timeany part of Gyeonggi Province.

GTX, whichan innovative metropolitan transportation solution, officially became a national project. Gyeonggi Province announced that three GTX lines were officially included in the second National Railroad Network Plan that will connectmajor cities of Korea within an houra half,that construction willsoon.
All three lines between Ilsan (일산)Suseo (수서), Songdo (송도)Cheongnryangni (청량리),Uijeongbu (의정부)Geumjeong (금정) proposedGyeonggi Province were included in the national plan.
Construction willin 2015be completed during the first half of 2018. The total cost for the projectprojected to be KRW 13.6 trillion.
When GTX lines open, central Seoul can be reached in less than 30 minutesanywhere in Gyeonggi Province.
Travel timeDongtan (동탄) to Samseong-dong (삼성동) in Seoul will be reducedthe current 67 minutes to 19 minutes,Ilsan (일산) to Seoul Station42 minutes to 16 minutes,from Uijeongbu (의정부) to Cheongryangni (청량리)32 minutes to a mere12 minutes.
With improved accessibility to Seoul, daily vehicle traffic will be reducedas much as 380,000, which will contribute the annual savings in traffic congestion costsKRW 700 billion.
The green light has finally been given for the GTX project,GTX will most likely become the driving force behind the transformation of Gyeonggi Province into an international mega-city.
3. Free Real Estate Agency Service for People in Low Income Brackets

Families in low income brackets often have to vacate homes they can no longer affordmove to more economic accommodations. Whenever they move, however, the real estate agency feeanother burden they have to bear. To ease the burden of moving costs, Gyeonggi Province provides a free real estate agency service for the recipient families of Basic Living Cost Benefits.

Thisa real estate agency in Suwon (수원) City that provides free services to recipients of Basic Living Cost Benefits. Thispossible because they are participants in the House Moving Assistant Service Program of Gyeonggi Province. There are more than 5,800 real estate agencies in Gyeonggi Province participating in this support program.
Under the House Moving Assistant Service Program, Gyeonggi Province provides recipients of Basic Living Cost Benefits with support for real estate agency fees, which would cost approximately KRW 70,000, the recipient family moves to a lease-based or rental house with a lease valued at less than KRW 20 million or equivalent rent.
Support also includes provision of household loading, transportation, unloadingrearrangement services in collaboration with volunteer service centers.
The real estate agencies also will be provided with a tax exemption of 50% on incomethe brokerage of real estate under this program so as to encourage participation.
Recipients of Basic Living Cost Benefits who wish to apply for House Moving Assistant Service may submit their applications to their local social welfare officer.
4. Hand-made Shoes ProducedHearing-impaired Individuals

A sales event was held inside the Gyeonggi Provincial Government Complex featuring high quality hand-made shoes. This company, “Shoe-making Scene”, consists of 10 employees including members with hearing impairments. The hand-made shoes producedthe employees of this company can be found at the Shops of People with Disabilities throughout the province.
There are a total of 190 society-conscious companies in Gyeonggi Province. The provincial government will continue to reinforce the foundation for the growth of these companiesidentifying more society-conscious companies with high growth potential, promoting at least one society-conscious company in every local district,providing them with financialsales support.
5. Free Remote Video Health Consultation

People with busy schedules living in modern society often cannot spare time to go to a hospital even they dofeel well. Well then make a little extra time for a free remote video health consultation when you the Public Service Center at Suwon (수원) Station.

Lee has been extremely uncomfortable because of frequent urination. He decided to visit this Public Service Center today because he knew urology consultation was scheduled.

Patients can also have their blood pressure, blood sugar levelbody fat checkedanalyzed with the help of the in-house nurse at the center before seeing the doctor through the video screen for a detailed consultation.
The health consultation serviceoffered for two hours10 amTuesday through Saturday,one of seven clinical areas including pain, adult diseases, eye diseasenon-smoking programs are covered each day.
The Health Consultation Service at the Public Service Center, whichprovided in collaboration with eight university hospitals in the province, will help elevate the quality of public service offeredGyeonggi Provinceprovide substantial assistance to residents.
6. Exchanges between SouthNorth Korean Students

University students South KoreanNorth Korean origins spent three days sharing opinions about reunificationenjoyed time mixing togethercommunicating.

University student journalists who work for the public relations office of Gyeonggi Province had time for communication for three daysvisited Pyeongtaek (평택) Squadron 2, the Paju (파주) English VillageImjingak (임진각).
Student journalists visited Pyeongtaek (평택) Squadron 2, viewed the ROK Navy corvette Cheonan (천안)were reminded of the importance of national defense.
When they visited Imjingak (임진각) in Paju (파주) Citythe DMZ, they experienced first-hand the reality of the division of the countrywere reminded of the importance of reunification.
This student camp was made even more special with participationuniversity students of North Korean origin who share the reunification wish.
A bicycle tour of the DMZ, a visit to Jangja (장자) Villagetime spent with Hanseners inspired solidarity among the participating students.
Having had the opportunity to acquire a new perception on reunificationrecognize the importance of communication, these young journalists will perform their jobs with more maturerealistic views.
7. 2011 G-Global Aviation in Ansan

G-Global Aviation in Ansan (안산)an air festival of dreamshopes for those who love to take to the sky. For this year’s exhibition, the Korean Air Force will also be present under an agreement with Gyeonggi Province.

The Korean Air Force will make a special appearance at the 2011 G-Global Aviation in Ansan (안산), the Gyeonggi International Air Show.
Gyeonggi Provincethe Korean Air Force signed an MOU for cooperation for the success of the 2011 G-Global Aviation in Ansan (안산).
During this show, the Korean Air Force will provide an aircraft parts exhibitionproject presentation as well as celebratory flybys of its special flying team, the Black Eagles.
The Korean Air Force will also operate a public relations hall to publicize the merits of Korean aviation technologydisplay a variety of helicoptersrescue equipment

Attracting more than 400,000 visitors last year, G-Global Aviation in Ansan, which marks its third year this year, was successful in promoting awareness of the importance of the aviation industry.
