A feasibility study result for the construction of the GTXthe Ministry of Land, TransportMaritime Affairs was to be presented this week but will be postponed. All eyes are on the Ministry of Land, TransportMaritime Affairs’ announcement.

The Ministry of Land, TransportMaritime Affairs requested a GTX feasibility test to the Korea Transport Institute. According to the original plan, the result should be presented at the beginning of November. However, there are many variances that seem to affect the plan.
The situationdifferent now due to Seoul`s underground highway construction planthe IncheonSeoul City railway construction.
The proposal for constructing over 40m underground for the GTXGyeonggi Province will overlap Seoul underground highwaythe Incheon Seoul city railway.
Moreover, the service for the feasibility test might be extended for a few more months.
However, the Ministry of Land, TransportMaritime Affairs cautiously stated that there was no exact result at the moment.
The announcement of the resultgrabbing much attention as voices for simultaneous constructionline extension are increasing everyday.
2. GTX, Grabs Attention

Gyeonggi Province opened a GTX conference for residents to explain the operation (moving the Megacity construction ahead of schedule) of GTX construction. The reactions of the residents were hot.

3. Infinite Care 1 Year Anniversary, Love Your Neighbors

Infinite care which started last year November to provide aid to families in need in Gyeonggi Province celebrated its 1st year anniversary. Not only did it provide financial aid, it also presented a whole new welfare policy model to others.

The infinite care operation, public welfare to help families in need in Gyeonggi Province, celebrated its 1st anniversary.
The celebration was followedthe presentation of the 1 year performance evaluationits vision, agreement contract with companies, donationsparticipating membersawards for excellent civil servants.
The infinite care operationevaluated as a new standard model for welfare policy. The Department of Public Health & Welfare presented that policies should benchmark the infinite care operation as one of the measures to stabilize the nation’s livelihood.
Infinite care which started in November 2008 supported 27,573 householdsgiving financial aidmore.
From last year November through October 30th 2009 Gyeonggi`s Infinite Care provided a total of $27.9 million. 80% of the amount ($22.5 million) were used in supporting living expensesthe rest were used in medical care, gasoline, housing expensesmore.
Not only does infinite care give financial aid, they cure the hearts of people that are hurt.
Gyeonggi Provinceplanning to build an infinite care center in order to be closer to the people in need.
4. Invention of Fermented Soybeans, Fermented

Even though fermented soybean are good for one’s health, many tendtothem due to the unpleasant smell. A new kind of fermented soybean containing red ginseng without any uncouth odors, were invented.

The beans together with ginseng changes into fermented red ginseng soybean which s a synergy effect.
Justthe process of fermenting soybeans, ginseng gives out red ginseng elements during the steaming process.
Itshown that the fermented red ginseng soybeans also have the anti-cancer elements Ginsenoside such as Rg2, Rg3, Rh1.

5. Agreement to Help Solve Company’s Problems

Gyeonggi Province took steps to help solve companies’ in need. An agreement was made between the Anti Corruption & Civil Rights Commission.

Gyeonggi Provincethe Anti Corruption & Civil Rights Commission came to an agreement to provide prompt solutions in solving companys` problemsappeals.
Because of national institutescivil servants’ work regulations, it was hard to support the companies. However, with the agreement in place, settling company’s problems will become easier.
Compared to other local governments, Gyeonggi Province has more issuescivil applications.
The company SOS supporting Committee was established on April 2007.
The company SOS Committee showed various problem solving examplespromises a 97% success rate, in which 11,555 among 11,944 issues were solved.
This agreement will be remembered as a step madethe centrallocal governments to seek ways for companies to escapetheir difficult situationsprovide a good environment for companies to run their businesses.
6. Patent for the Creation of Environmental Friendly Urns for Natural Burials

7. Companies Installing Low NOx Burner Increased

A sauna in Gyeonggi Province Hwasong received a low NOx burnerGyeonggi Province on August.
3 burners were purchasedUS$16,000 worth of installation expenses were supportedonly value added taxes were paid.
Gyeonggi Province promoted the low NOx burner business to small companies to reduce air pollutioncontrolling the nitrogen oxide during combustion.
Startingyear 2006 in Banwol, Sihwa Industrial Complex, in 2008, 175 burners were supplieduntil September 263 burners were supplied which shows a distinct increase in the supply rate.
Low NOx burner shows high efficiency as itaffordablereduces pollution.
When compared with the control facilities of large companies, the installation expense$42,000 to $51,000 cheaperthereno extra operating expense for the pollution control facility. 30% to 50% of pollution can be reduced.
Gyeonggi Province plans to supply 4,000 low NOx burners to the industries2014 to improve the air quality.
