1. [1 Police Station per CityTown!]
Gyeonggi Province has been pushing for 1 police station in every citytown in the province,that day has finally come.
The police stations in Dongducheon, Uiwang,Hanamopened on the 20th.
Now, the total number of police stations in Gyeonggi Province stands at 38, with every citytown in the provincetheir own police station.
The newly opened police stations will be runtemporary offices,are planned to move into permanent structures between 2011theof 2012 once they are completed.
Last year fire stations were built in citiestowns in the provincethere weren`t any previously. Now with 1 police station per citytown, Gyeonggi Provincebeing reborn as a good place to live.
2. [A Return to Dye Work after 30 Years]
Provincial Governor Kim Mun-su has worked as a taxi driver, a market merchantnow as a dye factory worker to experience a day in the life of the working class.
The dye factory Governor Kim visited has world-class technologya competitive edge as it does natural dye work using yellow soil, but faces many difficulties with restrictions of the North Gyeonggi regionits trouble in attracting the human resources it needs. Governor Kim Mun-su who has once worked in a dye factory over 30 years ago will today transport the yellow soilwrap up the completed garments.
Kim Mun-su also heard the voices of workers in the dye factory9:30 am until 3 pm this day.

3. [Misuda`s Christina Appointed Gyeonggi Goodwill Ambassador]
Cristina Confalonieri, made famous through the TV show `misuda` will work as a goodwill ambassador for Gyeonggi Province.
Gyeonggi Province appointed Cristina seeing fit that shefrom Italy, the country with the most developed pottery industry, were the proper qualifications for goodwill ambassador.
Christinagoing to start work in public relations for the 2009 Gyeonggi World Ceramic Bienalle 2009, which will be held between April 24thMay 24th.
1900 artists70 countries will attend the World Ceramic Bienalle making it the largest of its kind in the world.

4. [World of Flowers, The International Horticulture Goyang Korea]
A colorful opening ceremony kicked off the `International Horticulture Goyang 2009.`
This year marks the 5th exhibition of its kind to be heldMay 10th for 18 days in the Ilsan Lake Park area.
150 businessesKorea110 businesses24 countries will display nearly 10,000 types of flowersthe world`s largest silkworm work.
Every 3 years since 1997, the International Horticulture Goyang 2009 has been growing to become a major flower exhibit with around 3.2 million visitors so far.
Through this exhibition $30 million worth of flower contractsan industry production induction effect of $44.8 million have been realized.
The International Horticulture Goyang 2009 willonly become a festival that introduces the domestic flower industry to the world, but one that can also play its part in helping rescue the economy.
5. [Gyeonggi to Rescue Forgotten Korean Flowers]

To inform residents of the treasure of Korean flowers amidst gradually being passed over for foreign flowers, Gyeonggi has stepped forward in a movement to diffuse Korean flowers.
Gyeonggi Province has decided to flower beds in 20 places including schools, apartment complexes, public agencies,military installations planting 79,000 flowers, 30 types in all, including white forsythias, mountain hydrangeasirises.
Korean flowers have been on display in the International Horticulture Goyang that started since the 23rd in Goyang; we hope it will be an opportunity for the valuepreciousness of Korean flowers to be widely spread.

7. [Forgetting Handicaps Today]
The `15th Gyeonggi Handicapped Festival` was held unfolding colorful events.
Handicapped groups, athletesothers attended the event falling on the 29th handicapped person`s day.
Inside the Suwon Sports Complex various sporting events took place including wheel chair races,cord races.
The athletes expressed their delight in participating despite the rainy, chilly weather.
Following the sporting event was a concerta spirited talent show creating a fun festive atmosphere.
We look forward to the `Handicapped Festival`ending with just one day of events, but becoming a friend to the handicapped.
