The demand for transportation has continually increased due to new cities being developed. This diminished the quality of transportation.
The rail service in the metropolitan area especially, has already lost its edge as the distance between stopsshortwinding routes lead to extended travel time.

When the GTX, which will dissolve the Seoul border with its high speed travel,successfully completed, residents living in the metropolitan area will soon be able to enjoy more leisurely morning commutes.

The World Ceramic Biennale displayed 3,000 works of outstanding pottersmore than 70 countries this year.
The winning potterythe international contest, which had the highest participation rate so far, will be on display for 2 about months.
Actor Kim Ji-su has been appointed goodwill ambassador for the World Ceramic Biennale.

Gyeonggi Provinceat the head of supplementing a new funeral method burying the remains beneath flowersshrubs.
80% of the 24 natural funeral plots in the country are in Gyeonggi province, another natural funeral plot will be established in SuwonYangpyeong this May.

UNICEF plans to cooperate in promoting Gyeonggi`s `My First Library` project,promotion support through a goodwill ambassador.
Gyeonggi ProvinceUNICEF have scouted various projects they could collaborate onwould continually support each other after deciding on one.
7. [Multicultural Women Work as English Teachers]
The North Gyeonggi Women`s Vision Center started the `children`s English teacher training course`the 6th intended for multicultural women.
The students will attended 110 hours of class 3 times a week for 3 months to learn about English teaching methodsthe special characteristics of Korean children.
To further develop this training course the Womens` Vision Center decided to conclude an MOU for mutual cooperation with the Uijeongbu Immigration Office,for multicultural family support.
The Womens` Vision Center stated its has plans in the future to put more effort into providing chances for multicultural women to find work.
