Street lights are designed to light dark paths.

Still there are places really needing lightbus stopscrosswalks, but have none exist.
Gyeonggi Province recognized these `vehicle centered` street lights being set uphas presented a proposal to solve the problem.
Also, it has been determined that too many street lights has led to a waste of energy.
Also, much energyexpected to be saved through replacing the existing street lights with energy efficient ones.
We can look forward to convenient `people-centered` street lightseven energy savings.
2. [Heo Young-man to sail to Dokdo]
Heo Young-manrecognized as a great cartoonist of his generation. He will now take on an ocean voyage.
The goalto go the entire length of the Korean coast on wind power alone.
Cartoonist Heo will departthe northern point of the west coast, Baeknyeong-doafter reaching the most northern point on the East coast, he will head towards the Dokdo islands as his final destination.
He plans to sail twice a month making the trip in a total of 8 months.
As a goodwill ambassador for the Gyeonggi Boat Show, Heo has been ed as a leader.
Hepracticing sailing in the seas around Hwaseong near Tando Port makingthe necessary preparations.
Sailing to the Dokdo Islands!
We look forward to his trip around the Korean peninsula to put wind in the sails of Gyeonggi Province as a Mecca of the ocean-leisure industry.
3. [Calls for `help` heard: Infinite Care Project]

4. [Abandoned Pets in Financial Crisis]

An abandoned stray dog has just come in.
However, the stray dog cagealready full.
After carrying out mandatory pet registration last year the number of dumped pets has ped, but with the recent economy worsening, the number has come back up again.
By 2007, the number of abandoned pets in Gyeonggi shot up to 18,000. Last year the number was around 14,000, somewhat less, but this year there are more than 20,000 disenfranchised pets.
Dealing with the forgotten pets costs more than $1.7 million each year.
Plans are underway to expand the mandatory pet registration tem nationwide this October to prevent more animalsbeing dumped.

These days there are more than 5,000 homeless with 300 of them living in Gyeonggi Province.

The environment friendly effects are tops.
This fuel cell technologyplanned to go into a joint housing complex to be built in Namyangju. GyeonggiDongyang Construction concluded an agreement to supply the fuel cells.
So, the 40 unit Paragon Terahouse to be built in Hopyeong, Namyangju2010 will use the fuel cell tem.
7. [Women`s Centers See big Change!]
Thisa women`s center.
Itfull of students seeking various certifications in classes such as bakinghome fashion.
Finding a job or starting a businessa challenge enough, but for women or housewives, itthat more difficult.
So, Gyeonggi Province has ed 5 excelling women`s centers in the province that are running job training to provide them with funds to train female talent.
This program especially develops highly educated women resourcesconducts tailored education according to jobs in the area giving good chances for these women to seek employment.
