1. [Gyeonggi International Boat Show D-100]
This June 3rd colorful boatsyachts are expected to make an appearance in Jeongok Port, Hwaseong. Participants can engage in ocean water sports to their hearts content. Already the eventjust 100 days away.

At the Gyeonggi International Boat Show last year 430 companies38 countries participated. 100,000 spectators were expected to attend, but nearly 350,000 people came to the event.

This year Gyeonggi Province has plans to emphasize hosting large scale conferencesbusiness to stimulate the ocean leisure industry.

2. [Train Deep Underground]
A train 50 meters undergroundcapable of reaching speeds of up to 100 kilometers per hour will cut through the metropolitan area. It will travelDongtan new city to Gangnam in less than 20 minutes.

3. [Spreading Korean Culture]
The Gyeonggi Children`s World will beginthis March for children of multicultural families to experience firsthand the cultureemotions of Korea. The college students who are to instruct these children will also gather.

4. [West Suwon – Uiwang Expansion]
The expressway running between West SuwonUiwang will be expanded bringing relief to the heavy congestion in the area.

The 4 lanes of this expressway designed for 73,000 cars a day are inundated with 104,000 vehicles each day.
Gyeonggi Province decided to expand this roadthe current 4 lanes to 6 to 8 lanesheld a ground-breaking ceremony to commemorate the event.

5. [Gyeonggi`s Only Law School]
The only law school in Gyeonggi Province will open it`s doors next month at Ajou University. The first students were present at the opening ceremony on the 24th.

These are the first students to be admitted to the first authorized law school in Gyeonggi Province.

The 50 admitted students who passed a grueling competition took their first steps to becoming attorneys.
The Ajou University Law School, was authorized to accept up to 50 students as a school focusing in smallmedium business law.

6. [New Job Hope Program]
Amidst the growing numbers of unemployed due to the economy Gyeonggi Provinceproviding job consulting support for those looking for a new job giving hope to the unemployed.

Therea growing number of unemployed as companies slash the numbers of workers.
The sudden loss of a job casts a long shadow on familiesneighbors.
Accordingly, Gyeonggi Province has been providing job mediation for those with work experience between 2853 to help them find a new job.

The new job support project first provides job educationface-to-face counseling for 6 weeksin the 2nd phase figures out a job that matches the candidates abilitypreference. It then matches the candidate with companies hiring.
For those that dofind work in phases 1 or 2 therecontinual support offered for 8 weeks.
Last year the support project succeeded in finding work for 65% of the applicants, becoming a beacon of hope.
It looks as the Gyeonggi new job support project helps job seekers prepare to find a new jobregain their confidence.
7. [Drivers with Dignity!]
Most bus drivers are still men. But some women are challenging the trendare becoming bus drivers themselves.
