[Care Project Continues] 2/20-1

100 days after the infinite care project was started it has been expanded to include model citizens who wouldto help out. We look forward to many organizationsindividuals joining this project to even more support for families in need.

The infinite care project started last November now provides more than 2000 families with allowances for livingmedical costs.

Organizations have joined forces to support the infinite care support project. Gyeonggi Province has concluded an agreement with medical organizations, the Gyeonggi Pharmaceutical Association, the Suwon Bar Associationothers to support families living in poverty.

Mean, housewives clubssubdivision managers have been entrusted as infinite care assistants in each citytown.

From now on, 15,000 assistants will find families living in poverty in their neighborhoodsreport them to their city or town in order to help those of limited means to receive the aid they require.

[Free RF Transit Card]

From this May Gyeonggi Province decided to do away with free subway tickets issued to seniors 65up the handicappednational merit recipientswill issue a free RF transit card for them to ride the subway.

Seniors are required to show their ID in order to receive a free subway ticket.

Gyeonggi Province has decided to issue the free RFMay to make using the subwaytransferring easier for seniors 65up, the handicapped,national merit recipients.

Also, it will reduce the burden of travel expenses as transfers with buses will be included.

[Concert of Love]

There are three high school students that have been performing volunteer work for 2 years at the `House of Sharing` in Gwangju. They have recently been accepted to good colleges overseas with aspirations to solve the problem of Japanese soldiers victims, or comfort women on a grander scale.

A small concert was held at the House of Sharing in Gwangju. Hong Seok-mun played the violin Kim Ju-yeon played the flute.

They have met the comfort women victims through performing volunteer work as a musician in their music group.
Kim Seon-tae takes his volunteer work very seriously.

The volunteer work became even more meaningful for Seon-tae when his mother joins him.

The three havebeen accepted to well-known colleges in the USJapan, but are prepared to continue their efforts for the victims of Japanese soldiers: comfort women.

[2009 International Sky Expo]

Last year Gyeonggi Province turned to the sea for the Gyeonggi International Boat ShowYacht Contest. This year it turns to the sky. Gyeonggi Province decided to host the largest international sky expo ever in Korea.

The dream of flying has been man`s constant ambition. For five days starting May 1st the largest sky expo ever in Korea will take place in Ansan at the 2009 International Sky Expo.

The plan to host the sky expo in Ansan was based off of the ordeal ofonce hosting an air show years ago.

Heo Young-ho, who has crossed the sea to Dokdo IslandJeju Island in a super light-weight plane was entrusted to be the goodwill ambassador for the event.

All eyes are on the International Sky Expo to see it can takeoff successfully this May.

[`Gyeonggi,` Land of Dinosaurs]

A large quantity of Dinosaur egg fossils have been discovered in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi recently along with the discovery of a complete set of dinosaur bones, drawing a lot of attention as it was the first time in the country such a discovery was made.

After disappearingthe Korean Peninsula 100 million years ago the existence of dinosaur fossils reappeared in the province.
In a 15 square kilometer area of Shihwa Lake amidst scattered rocks a round shaped object has been identified as a fossilized dinosaur egg.

Therenow evidence of a dinosaur habitat100 million years ago in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province.
Different than bone fragments or footprints discovered in South Gyeongsang, or South Jeolla Provinces the first complete dinosaur bones have been discovered in Jeongok Port, Hwaseong, Gyeonggi.

On the 19th a visitors center opened to display the fossilized eggs to the viewing public.

Academic circles are predicting more fossils to be unearthed putting Gyeonggi Province on the map as a center for world dinosaur fossils.

The initial costs to get started were higher, but after introducing new cultivating equipment he could harvest twice as much during the same season.

The Gyeonggi Province Art Hall opened the 2009 traveling Gyeonggi Province Art Hall that tours a new culture center in the province each monthdisplays worksthe Art Hall.

Not only are regional artists works on display, but the artists themselves make an appearance at the gallerytalk about their works.

Local residents interested in painting appear absorbed in thought as they view the works.

This tour starting in Gunpo will run through November in 8 regions including GapyeongHanam.
