Gyeonggi Province took home 3 brand prizes at the 2009 Korea Local Brand Awards. The awards were won in separate categories for G-Mark, Gyeonggi Cyber Market,Leafkist.

At the event the G-Mark, a brand of high-quality agriculture products certifiedthe Gyeonggi Provincial Governor won the innovation award.
With the slogan of `Agriculture productsGyeonggi Province are different` the Gyeonggi Cyber Market was ed the winner in the distribution service category.
Further, Leafkist, meaning an abundance of greenerysunshine together won the fruit brand category giving Gyeonggi Province brands high marks.
Further, Provincial Governor Kim Mun-su was awarded the management award in recognition for his leadershipmanagement skills.

A national campaignbeing kicked off for childrenmulticultural families to take part in a trip through Gyeonggi Province.
A campaign has begun that can help children in Koreamulticultural families with one message of support.
Gyeonggi Province, the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization,the social welfare joint fundraising association concluded an agreement for the `Gyeonggi Children`s Joy Campaign.`
Meaning giving children a very fun time, the `Gyeonggi Children`s Joy Campaign` invites childrenmulticultural families to take part in a sleepover trip in Gyeonggi Province.
Netizen`s can support childrenmulticultural familieslogging onto to the Gyeonggi Children`s Joy website. Each message of support left for the children equals one `leaf.` 10 collected `leaves` equals 1 `love leaf.`
After collecting 10 `love leaves` one child will be sponsoreda business to go on the trip.
The campaign will continue year round with an estimated 10,000 children to receive support for the trip depending on contributionsbusinesses.

Thisbecause Da-hyeon`s family wrote this book last autumn at the Gyeonggi Residents Family Book Camp held in Paju.
Last October families of avid readers who usually flocked to the local library this month have gatheredorganized this camp.
Gyeonggi Province through the eyes of children attending the camp shows the province in a new light.
Gyeonggi Province plans to make this book available in 130 public libraries within the province,in libraries in major cities across the country to offer a fresh look to anyone who wants to visit the province.
