7. Event introduction: Anseong Farmland, located in Anseong City of Gyeonggi Province, hosts the ‘Happy Winter! Farmland Winter Games Festival’ from December 18, 2015, to February 14, 2016. This year, Anseong Farmland has opened its new snow sledding field. Visitors can enjoy an even more thrilling sledding experience on an open field. Visitors can also try ice-sledding and snowshoeing as well as other traditional winter games. Over the weekends in the month of January, adults and children can participate in a competition for sliding the longest distance on fertilizer burlap sacks. Near its snow sledding field, Anseong Farmland also has a food zone, ice sledding slope, Korean papier-mâché experience hall, and farm animal hall. On January 1, 2016, Anseong Farmland will open up its facilities for free between 6:00am and 8:00am so that visitors can enjoy sunrises in the field. Other activities including the farm animal experience, horseback riding, tractor carriage, and dairy farming, all of which will be open for regular business hours.
