Gyeonggi Urban Innovation Corporation executes agency development project on Dongtan Second New City site building construction (section 5-2)

– 2 blocks of apartment housing lots(A79, A80) chosen to be  paid-in-kind … Bidding will be open until July 16

 

 

Gyeonggi Urban Innovation Corporation will be carrying out site building construction(section 5-2) at Dongtan Second New City through an agency-development.

The Corporation made a notice of tender on June 30 to select the contractor and notified that the selected contractor will be paid-in-kind given right to purchase 2 blocks of apartment housing lots (A79, A80).

Agency development is a construction project method where the contracted construction company carrying out construction work such as site building work is given the right to purchase specified lots of land. The construction companies benefit by purchasing strategically located apartment housing lots and the Corporation can lessen its burden in initial procurement of budget.

The construction will involve site building (section 5-2) of housing lots within Dongtan Second New City. Design budget is KRW 83.2 billion and A79 and A80 blocks will be the designated lots for sale. Constructors purchasing both lots(KRW 280.5 billion) with the lowest bid will be given contract.

Bidding and selection of the constructor will be finalized on July 16 and execution agreement will be entered into on July 22. More details can be found at Bidding Information page of Gyeonggi Urban Innovation Corporation web site(www.gico.or.kr).

Land paid-in-kind are blocks A79 and A80 located within section 5-2 of housing development district of Dongtan Second New City. These blocks are located closely to Hanwon CC and are expected to have superb view. Also, Sinri IC is close by which makes connection with road 23 easy.

Gyeonggi Urban Innovation Corporation supports renovation work in under developed areas in Dandae-dong, Seongnam City

– GUIC and Seongnam City signs house renovation assistance project cooperation agreement

Gyeonggi Urban Innovation Corporation has entered into a business agreement with Seongnam City on June 17, at Seongnam City Hall, for renovation support project of lesser-income households located in ‘customized urban regeneration area district’ in Dandae-dong, Seongnam City.

Sungkwon Park, head of Urban Regeneration Headquarters of Gyeonggi Urban Innovation Corporation and Gibo Shim, deputy mayor of Seongnam City were present at the signing ceremony. Through this agreement, both organizations will make close cooperation in selection of recipients for the house renovation support project, work together in providing the funds and cooperate in other areas.

Customized urban regeneration area district house renovation support project was created through amalgamation of resident-led regeneration project called ‘customized regeneration project’ and household welfare project called ‘customized welfare town project’. Gyeonggi Urban Innovation Corporation will be supporting KRW 100 million in helping to renovate dilapidated houses owned by lower-income families.

Sungkwon Park, head of Urban Regeneration Headquarters of Gyeonggi Urban Innovation Corporation said, “we hope that the lower-income families will be encouraged and empowered through these renovations of their houses” and added that, “the Corporation will continue its efforts to assist regeneration of urban areas and to lend a hand to those in need in local communities”.

Gyeonggi Urban Innovation Corporation begun its house renovation support project in 2014 starting with renovation of 31 homes located in Moraetgol-maeul in Siheung City. In May 2015, the Corporation has supported Anjeong 2,8-ri in Pyeongtaek and in June 2015, the Corporation supported Maesan-dong in Suwon, providing KRW 100 million to both neighborhoods.

Gyeonggido Urban Innovation Corporation accelerates progress on Gwacheon Knowledge Information Town project

Gyeonggi Urban Innovation Corporation and City of Gwacheon enter into entrustment agreement for land provision

 

 

GGyeonggi Urban Innovation Corporation announced on June 3 that its entrustment agreement with City of Gwacheon on provision of land will be a significant step forward in its construction of apartment houses within the Gwacheon Knowledge Information Town.

 

Under this agreement, the entrusted party, Gyeonggi Urban Innovation Corporation will provide services and management of district units, establish land supply policies, select private contractors, make evaluations, and carry out activities relating to apartment unit sales. The entrusting party, City of Gwacheon will supply the funds for the project, negotiate purchasing of the land, and act as the coordinator between various different organizations involved in the project.

 

Taegyu Song, head of Trust Business Team at Gyeonggi Urban Innovation Corporation said, “the Corporation has gained a wealth of experience in new city projects from Gwanggyo and a know-how in attracting competitive businesses in Pangyo Techno-Valley. With such experience, the Corporation will contribute in the birth of Gwacheon Knowledge Information Town which will connect existing Pangyo Techno-Valley and Gyanggyo Techno-Valley and become a forefront runner in knowledge-based service industry in Gyeonggido.”

 

Gwacheon Knowledge Information Town will be created in Galhyeon-dong and Munwon-dong in City of Gwacheon. 223,000㎡(Bogeumjari housing accounts for 17% of overall development area of 13,530,000㎡)of knowledge-based industry lots will be developed. 12 lots of land purchased from LH Corporation with construction cost will develop and apartment houses will be sold later next year.

Gyeonggi Urban Innovation Corporation begins the first parcel-out of 2,801 housings of the public trace apartment with ‘Nature & Lotte Castle’ (B2 block) and ‘Nature & e-pyeonhansesang'(B4 block) at Namyangju Dasan New Town on 15 April.

The characteristics and strengths of each development are as follows.  ‘Nature &Lotte Castle’ enhances pantry and corridor storages, and insulation and soundproof functions by applying double-glassed windows. Recognition of contributions in various landscape architecture projects, such as Lake Park at Gwanggyo New Town… “leading a new landscape architectural technology”

 

Gyeonggi Urban Innovation Corporation announced that they received a minister prize of Land, Infrastructure and Transport in the 12th anniversary of the day of landscape architecture’ held at the Korean Science and Technology Hall on 3 March, since they were selected as the best public institution to successfully fulfill various landscape architecture projects and policies.

 

In this ceremony, which was organized by an Incorporated Association, the Korean Institute of Landscape Architecture and sponsored by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, and Korea Forest Service, Gyeonggi Urban Innovation Corporation received this prize for its great contribution in expanding social awareness about landscape architecture and importance of landscape architecture field and creating green spaces and pleasant parks by raising interest and investment in landscape architecture field in carrying out various development projects, such as housing land development, public housing, industrial complex, and commission and consignment projects.

 

The Corporation expands importance of landscape architecture in main development projects, such as creation plans of ‘Lake Park at Gwanggyo New Town’ beloved by the inhabitants of Gyeonggi-do, ‘Waterfront at Dongtan2 New Town’ utilized an existing lake, ‘Park Green Zone at Dasan New Town’ at an ecology and cultural city, Namyangju and connects them by improving the related technology. Also, it expands various capacities in landscape architecture through holding technology seminars, introducing MLA(Master of Landscape Architecture) specialists and operating landscape architecture design advisory group institution to obtain specialty in landscape architecture.

 

Park, Seong-kwon, the director general of City Regeneration, Gyeonggi Urban Innovation Corporation addressed “the Corporation will more actively carry out various landscape architecture projects with this receiving of the minister prize of Land, Infrastructure and Transport as a momentum” and “will lead a new landscape architectural technology to answer consumer oriented development paradigm by selecting resident participating landscape architecture project as 2015 innovation task”.

 

Gyeonggi Urban Innovation Corporation received a Presidential Prize, the 6th Grand Prize of Korea Landscape Architecture in 2012 and the Grand Prize of Korea Landscape in 2014.

– 26 prize winners of ‘My Home, Writing and Art Competition’ were invited for an overnight stay at Changgyeonggung, learning palace courtesies, trying on traditional royal clothes and participating in many different acidities

 

 

Gyeonggi Urban Innovation Corporation has announced that it held a palace culture experience trip at Changgyeonggung inviting 26 elementary school students from families living in the Corporation’s public rental houses in conjunction with the Cultural Heritage Administration of Korea for two days from May 23 to 24.

 

This experience trip was held in conjunction with corporate social reasonability program run by the Cultural Heritage Administration of Korea. Gyeonggi Urban Innovation Corporation has participated in the program from 2012, making 2015 its 4th year. Through continued support and participation, the Corporation is contributing in the effort of providing traditional cultural experiences to members of our society without ready access to cultural activities.

 

In April of this year, the Corporation held ‘My Home, Writing and Art Competition’ where elementary school students from families in Corporation’s rental houses took part. 26 prize winners from the competition were invited to the cultural experience trip and took part in overnight stay at Changgyeonggung Tongmyeongjeon, learnt palace courtesies, tried on traditional royal clothes, played traditional games(Seunggyeongdo) and were exposed to many other exciting palace culture activities as well as taking a trip to royal tombs of Chosun Dynasty.

– Remodeling support in custom-built refurbishment project for low income households in Anjung2,8-ri

 

On May 13, 2015, Gyeonggi Urban Innovation Cooperation announced that they concluded an agreement with Pyeongtaek city on house remodeling support project for low income households in Pyeongtaek Anjung 2, 8 –ri. The president of Gyeonggi Urban Innovation Cooperation, Choi Geumsik and mayor of Pyeongtaek, Gong Jaegwang attended the meeting. 

Custom-built Welfare Village House Remodeling Support Project is a project that improves deteriorated houses for low income households supported by Gyeonggi Urban Innovation Cooperation by funding one hundred million won to「Custom-built Welfare Village Project」which combined Custom-built Refurbishment Project, the resident-initiated regeneration project and house welfare project.

The construction began in 2014 by remodeling houses for 31 households in Moraetgot village in Siheung city and the cooperation is planning to support with a total 3 hundred million won in 3 regions; Pyeongtaek Anjung, Suwon Maesan and Sungnam Dandae.

Jung Gwantae, a director of Future Strategy Department in Gyeonggi Urban Innovation Cooperation mentioned, “We hope to encourage low income households’ willingness for self-sufficiency through deteriorated house remodeling in under-developed regions” and also stated that, “We are planning to process the project continuously to contribute in local society and to improve living environment in Gyeonggi-do.”

– 24 housings in Anyang-si with 60% of market price… to be received on the site from 8 May

 

Gyeonggi Urban Innovation Corporation announced that 24 studio flats constructed in front of Manan-gu Office, Anyang-dong, Anyang-si will be supplied to university students and office workers just starting out their careers as the first model of housing welfare of Gyeonggi-do.

 

These studio flats will be supplied to university students and office workers just starting out their careers each 12 housings respectively, consisting of 2 types of 19.86㎡(12 housings) and 20.79㎡(12 housings) in a four-story building. Rental fees will be, regardless of the type, with deposit 5 million KRW and monthly rental fee 270 thousand KRW for students and monthly rental fee 290 thousand KRW for office workers just starting out their careers, which is about 60% of the market price in neighborhood. The 2nd floor (8 housings) is only available for female.

Eligible applicants are single residents of Anyang-si on resident registration as of announcement date of resident recruitment (27 April), who are students of universities located in Anyang (including students to enter or to return) and office workers of companies located in Anyang (less than 5 years of total working period).

 

The application will be received on the site of the subject housing (56 Naengcheon-ro, Manan-gu, Anyang-si) during 3 days between 8 May and 10 May. During the period, the housing is open to the public, applicants can directly check housing conditions and its surroundings. Move-in residents will be selected through electronic drawing of lots in early June and move-in will be started from mid June.

The Corporation temporary decided the brand of these Anyang-dong studio flats as ‘Ddabok house-youth’. Ddabok house-youth is a project that Gyeonggi-do provided small-sized left-over land as free and Gyeonggi Urban Innovation Corporation donated a building after constructing for free use over 30 years, evaluated as a type of housing welfare model of Gyeonggi-do.

 

Jeong, Dong-sun, the director general of housing welfare, Gyeonggi Urban Innovation Corporation addressed “the Corporation actively carries out excavation work for suitable places to expand current Ddabok house-youth project and a project to develop various types of housing welfare of Gyeonggi-do”.
