Soyosan Mountain, Dongducheon

Soyosan Mountain is known as the ‘Geumgangsan  Mountain of Gyeonggi Province.’ Located in Dongducheon, the mountain is famous for its beauty from the spring time, when the entire mountain is covered in Korean Rosebay, and from the autumn when the entire mountain is covered in autumn foliage. Especially, the pine tree and the autumn foliage trails, which extend along the running water, offer impressive views for the visitors to enjoy.  There are also a variety of cultural heritage items to provide another source of joy to the visitors.

Gamaksan Mountain, Paju

At Gamaksan Mountain, which is one of the most famous and beautiful mountains in Paju, the city hosts “Paju Gamaksan Mountain Autumn Foliage Festival 2016” from October 22 to 23, 2016. In this year’s festival, various attractions and events will await visitors, including a family health walking competition, an arm wrestling competition, youth group performances, and cheese pizza making, as well as the red and yellow autumn leaves.

Myeongjisan Mountain, Gapyeong

Myeongjisan Mountain, which is the second highest mountain in Gyeonggi Province after Hwaaksan Mountain, features a large number of broad-leaved trees, long and water-rich valleys, and beautiful waterfalls, making it a popular destination for autumn tourists.  The topology of the mountain is magnificent. However, the hiking course is not that difficult even for beginners. In addition, the crimson forest trail is on a mild slope, making it easier to follow. The sunshine spreading across the trees makes the scenery truly splendid.

Unaksan Mountain, Gapyeong

Unaksan Mountain is called one of the five great mountains in Gyeonggi Province, along with Hwaaksan Mountain, Gwanaksan Mountain, Gamaksan Mountain, and Songaksan Mountain. Of all these, Unaksan Mountain is renowned for its scenery. The mountain deserves this honor both for its superb topography as well as for its unique geology. The Garden of Morning Calm, Gapyeong

Namiseom Island, Gapyeong

Yongmunsan Mountain, Yangpyeong

Yongmunsan Mountain – the fourth highest mountain in Gyeonggi Province after Hwaaksan Mountain, Myeongjisan Mountain, and Gungmangbong – is famous for its unique rocks and splendid ridges. Here, the visitors can have their breath taken away by the beauty of the autumn foliage.  At the peak of the mountain, the visitors can find farming fields stretching to the horizon, as well as the ridges of other famous mountains such as Yumyeongsan Mountain and Jungwonsan. Everland, Yongin           

Everland is one of the most famous autumn foliage destinations in Korea, and it is said that the autumn leaves here are the most beautiful to see from mid-October to early-November.  Of particular note, the amusement park operates the Healing Course, Kochia Course, Attraction Course, and Drive Course, providing four convenient options for enjoying the autumn leaves.
