The Good Morning House in Gyeonggi Province will host various cultural, performance and experience programs to provide residents with opportunities to enjoy quality time with their families during the summer vacation season from July 21 to August 25.
The programs for Fridays include the Story-telling & Cooking Class with Parents, Family Movie-making Class, Interior Item-ceating Class, and an exhibition-linked program.
The Story-telling & Cooking Class with Parents includes the reading of fairy tales and making of cakes that represent scenes from those stories. It is run for children from toddlers to the lower grades of elementary school. The maximum number of participants per session is limited to 80 children from 20 families.
The Family Movie Making Class is a three-week program that runs twice a week with 15 participants per session. The completed family movies will be screened during the Good Morning House’s weekend programs in the second half of the year.

The Interior Item-creating Class

The Interior Item-creating Class is provided for 30 persons in each session. Participants can make their own interior items such as picture frames, fans, candles, and wall hangings.
The exhibition-linked program is an art experience occasion linked with “Good Morning,” a work by Noh Sun-cheon, which is being displayed in a special exhibition. This program runs four times a week for 20 students from the 3rd to 6th grades of elementary school. They will participate in drawing self-portraits and making self-portraits with wires.
Cultural art performances will be held for an hour starting at 11:30 am every Wednesday from August 9. Of particular note, on August 19, Uruguayan guitarist Eduardo Fernández, one of the three greatest classic guitarists in the world, will perform.
The one-night-two-day experience program, which runs from August 7 to 22, is sponsored by the Korea Gas Corporation Seoul-Incheon Branch and KT Corporation. The program is geared for 40 children from vulnerable social groups including multicultural families, single-parent families, and North Korean defector families. The program includes activities such as lawn camping, water gun games, a magic show, making t-shirts, quizzes, recreations and a Suwon Hwaseong Fortress tour.
Participants in the one-night-two-day experience program for vulnerable social groups are selected based upon recommendations from each city and county. Applications for other programs can be made via the Good Morning House website (http://goodmorning-house.com).
