Seong-Myo is the grave of Gongbin Kim who is a member of the Harem of the King Seonjo, the 14th king of Chosun dynasty.

She was loved by Seonjo with her wit and beauty.

She gave birth to two sons, Imhaegun and Gwanghaegun, but died when her younger son was three years old. This grave was called Seongneung when her little son, Gwanghae became a king. But its name had to changed because Gwanghae was dethroned.

The graveyard is located on the small ridgeline and beautifully designed. It has 8 Sadaeseok’s around the mound, and there is a beautiful stone railing with 12 posts around them. Especially, the railling is extremely beautiful with the carvings in the middle. We can find two stone tigers and two stone sheep either side of the mound. And in front of the mound, there is a huge stone table. The two stone posts are octagonal and two storied with pedestals. In front of the stone table, there is a layer with Jangdaeseok. And below it, there are Stone Figures of ministers, Stone horses, and a stone lantern. And there is another layer again with Jangdaeseok, and ministers’ figures, horse figures are below the Jangdaeseok again.
