The salt field here laid pottery tiles instead of chemical floor paper to produce ‘Ggaempari salt.’ This sun-dried salt fetches high prices in the market thanks to its outstanding taste and quality. Visitors can make their own salt through the traditional methods using Ggaempari.

Ggaempari salt is a common brand name for the pottery tile salt made on Daebu Island. ‘Ggaempari’ means broken pottery, and it is used to make the salt field floor. Ggaempari salt is produced at the salt fields of Ggaempari floor.
